Material for Performance
Above are pictures of Indian tourist destinations, such as the Taj Mahal. We aim to have these on the outside door of the Space because they show how India is portrayed in the media, with it's majestic, tall and prestigious buildings compared to the inside of the door, where it represents India in poverty and the hidden scenes from tourists. This can present a theme of Social Injustice in our piece. In many areas of India, there will be really run down slums with dying, sick people directly next to an area of wealth and prosperity. This aspect suggests that social division.
